Panorama CRM review: priced for 5 seats, built for 50
A capable CRM whose per-seat pricing quietly stops making sense at exactly the size of team it markets to.

Full disclosure policyPanorama's pipeline and automation builder are genuinely strong — I rebuilt a 9-stage sales process in under two hours without documentation. The problem is that the features a 20-person team needs (custom objects, role-based permissions, API rate limits above 1k/hour) all sit on a plan that costs 2.4× more, and the upgrade cliff is not visible from the pricing page.
What works
- Pipeline and automation builder is usable without reading documentation
- Imported 2,300 contacts with 6 custom fields and zero data loss
- Full REST API on all paid plans, documented accurately
- Export produces genuinely re-importable data, including automation definitions
What does not
- Role-based permissions require the Scale plan at $99/user/month
- API rate limit on Growth is 1,000 requests/hour — hit it in normal use at 4 seats
- Reporting cannot join across custom objects without a third-party tool
- Annual-only pricing on the plan tiers most people actually need
Buy it if
- Teams of 2–6 running a simple pipeline who will not need granular permissions
- Anyone who wants automations they can build themselves without a consultant
Skip it if
- Teams that need per-role data visibility — budget for Scale from day one
- Anyone building integrations that exceed 1k API calls/hour
The migration test
I moved a real 2,300-contact dataset with six custom fields, 480 open deals and four years of activity history. The import took 38 minutes end to end and I verified 200 randomly sampled records by hand afterwards. Zero data loss, two formatting issues on date fields, both fixable in the mapping step before commit.

Support
Six tickets over the test period. Median first response 4.2 hours, all within stated SLA. Two required escalation; both were resolved correctly. One answer about API limits was initially wrong and was corrected without prompting the next day, which I count in Panorama's favour.
Verdict
Situational. The product is good. The pricing architecture is designed so that the plan you evaluate is not the plan you end up on, and the jump is 2.4×. Go in with your eyes open about which tier you will actually live on and it is a reasonable buy.
